What is Virechana?
Virechana is one of the primary purification therapies of Panchakarma. In this procedure, controlled purgation (therapeutic cleansing) is induced with the help of herbal medicines to eliminate excess Pitta dosha, toxins (Ama) and accumulated waste from the body. It is mainly performed to purify the liver, gallbladder, intestines and blood.
