Raktamokshan is an ancient Ayurvedic purification therapy that is specifically mentioned in the Sushruta Samhita. In this procedure, impure or vitiated blood is removed from the body in a controlled quantity to help restore the balance of the Pitta dosha. This therapy is performed through methods such as Jalauka (leech therapy), Siravedha, Prachchanna, and Alabu techniques.
